In mass cultivation of live food organisms, size of tanks used usually ranges from 1 to 20 tons. The tanks can be made of either fiberglass, polyethylene, marine plywood or concrete. On the average, the total tank capacity f or live food culture is about 20% of the total tank capacity for larval rearing (Kungvankij et al., 1986).
