Workpackage 8: The obtained information will be assembled in a workshop for the industry and other scientists on the effect of the rotifer culture method on the rotifer genetics and a possible way to prevent crashes.

Partner 1 will organise a small workshop on the mass production of rotifers and its consequences on the genetic diversity of the rotifers. The type of culture will be explained if farmers would not be using of this culture type at their facilities. Changes in the culture methods and extra procedures to minimise the risk of crashes will be explained. The performance of a pilot scale rotifer culture will be followed during the workshop.
A hands-on session of one day, will allow the farmers to construct their own small culture system. Schematic overviews of the culture system and culture protocols will be handed over.
