The Japan International Food and Aquaculture Society, in conjunction
with the Japan Aquaculture Society is proud to announce the Second
International Aquaculture Technology Exposition, InterAQT '98 and
adjoining symposium, A New Paradigm for Aquaculture, to be held in
Kobe, Japan in Feb. 1998.
Japan's fisheries and aquaculture sectors are currently undergoing
significant changes due to the unstoppable forces of economic
internationalization and resource depletion. It is clear that
internationalization on a technological level is required if Japan is
going to continue to feed its people in the years to come. JIFAS is
spearheading the effort to assist foreign companies establish
profitable business and research partnerships with its Japanese member firms.
