TROPICAL MARINE AQUACULTURE COURSE

July 22-30, 1997, University of Oriente, Venezuela

This is the first announcement for an intensive course on tropical marine aquaculture techniques, to be conducted at the Institute for Marine Research, University of Oriente, Venezuela. The Institute is a leading marine aquaculture research institution and is located on Margarita Island.

The course will concentrate on basic principles and current state-of-the-art techniques for the maturation, spawning, larval rearing and

growout/production techniques of several commercially-important species of mollusks (oysters, mussels, scallops and others), fishes (snapper, grouper, snook, flounder and others), and marine shrimp.
