November 11-14, 1998
Chiangmai, Thailand
The imbalance between population growth and food production has been recognized and will become an important issue for mankind in the next century. Fisheries in fact play an important role in the future food security of the world, especially for the protein sources. To tackle this constraint, there is a need for the interaction and collaboration among fishery scientists and other related fields.
Asian Fisheries Forum brings together scholars and resource people to address key issue concerning fisheries. The forum facilitates an exchange of views and ideas among scientists thereby strengthening future information exchange and collaborative research linkages.
