SHORT TRAINING COURSE ON FISH VACCINATION

April 14-17, 1998, Wageningen, The Netherlands

Financed by the Leonardo Programme of the EU.

Developed by the Cell Biology & Immunology group of the Wageningen Agricultural University (WAU), to address the topic of vaccination in intensive aquaculture, seen within the context of the fish defense system. The course will provide state-of-the-art presentations on vaccine design, vaccine strategies, techniques and applications. The participant will receive both theoretical and practical training in understanding the fish immune response to vaccination. The course is set up for managers and staff in the aquaculture industry, researchers and staff of companies, institutes and universities, including PhD students involved in studies on aquaculture.
