AQUACULTURE SPONSORED INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON BASS SPP CULTURE: BASIC AND APPLIED ASPECTS

The aim of the symposium is to get together all the current basic and applied studies done in the culture of the American, European and Asiatic basses to develop common strategies of study in order to ameliorate the culture of these species. Sessions could include:

Reproductive aspects (Environmental and hormonal control of reproduction, Sex control and broodstock management and egg quality)

Pathology (Stress and disease prevention and treatment)

Nutrition and metabolism (feed formulation and feeding strategies, specific requirements)

Growth and development (Environmental, hormonal and nutritional enhancement of growth)

Genetics (Selection, hybrids, ploidy, genetic markers)

Culture techniques and commercialization
