To ensure a sustainable scallop spat supply for that the European scallop landing can be maintained and increased through aquaculture and enhanced wild fisheries.

- Lectures and video footage on wild hatchery and mesocosm spat supplies

- Spat transport

- Site selection

- Predator control

- Fouling control: biological, husbandry and chemical intensive and extensive culture.

- Various systems and markets.

- Visit to Mulroy Bay to view all aspects of production, including spat collection, nursery techniques, ongrowing, reseeding and harvesting.
