European bass and bream juvenile production rose 30% last year to 310 million - as well as an extra 20 million 'new species' juveniles - while the 25% increase in adult production to 69,027 tonnes was followed by predictions that this year's harvest will be more than 80,000 tonnes.
Seabream prices rose from Ecu5.8 to 6.11/kg (@US$7 to $7.8/kg), while those for bass stabilised at Ecu7.02/kg.
