Shrimp accounts for every twenty percent of the global trade in fish and fishery products. Its production and trade has undergone marked changes during the ten-year period since the First Infofish Shrimp Trade Conference, Shrimp '88, Bangkok held in 1998. The Fourth in the series, Shrimp '98, organized in the capital of the world's biggest producer and exporter of wild caught shrimp, will focus on latest issues confronting the industry and address questions of vital importance.
