POSTGRADUATE AQUACULTURE PROGRAMS BY DISTANCE EDUCATION (16 SEPARATE COURSES)

Deakin University offers the only postgraduate programs available by
distance education (correspondence). We presently have over 200 enrolled students from every State in Australia and a growing number from overseas (USA, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Solomon Islands, Ireland, Germany). Depending on educational back ground and work experience three programs are available: Graduate Certificate (4 courses/units), Graduate Diploma (8 courses/units) or Masters of Aquaculture (16 courses/units). Each course (we call them units down under) is based upon comprehensive
study guide materials (many written by international experts) and readings with additional resources available via the internet. The entire course materials, comprising over 20 volumes of study guides and readings, represent one of the most comprehensive sets of reference materials available on aquaculture.
These courses are designed for people already working in the aquaculture or related industries, or who have research or technical positions in government departments in the aquaculture-fisheries areas who wish to upgrade their qualifications and enhance their expertise, but do not want give up their jobs and relocate to do so.
