Abstract :

Eggs of the Black Sea turbot, Psetta maeotica (Pallas) were incubated at 10 different salinity conditions ranging from 9 to 26 ppt. Optimum salinity for normal development of Black Sea turbot embryos is 17-18 ppt. Incubation in 13 ppt or less and above 25 ppt water was lethal.
