This 5-day practical course covers commercial hatchery production of bivalves, especially hard clams. Course topics include broodstock conditioning and maintenance, spawning, larval rearing and feeding, setting, and juvenile seed production. System design, mass algal culture, hatchery sanitation and record keeping are covered.
