ELECTRONICAL LARVICULTURE NEWSLETTER ISSUE 77

SOCRATES COURSE: BIOLOGY OF FISH LARVAE PRODUCTION

Finally we reach the stage that I can start registering students formally
for the next Socrates IP "Biology of Fish Larvae Production". The course is also registered at AquaTNET as one of her methodology Series of Courses.
To make it clear: the formal course period starts on March 1 and lasts until end June. Most of this time is by distant contact, using e-mail and internet. There will be one week of course meetings with lectures etc. here in Wageningen, in the period 19-23 April.
This week will coincide and be extended with another Socrates IP,
co-ordinated by dr. Gavin Burnell from University College of Cork, Ireland. The extension means that we will organise as partial fulfillment of that IP, a field trip to various farms (addresses are still to be organised) in the Netherlands, Belgium and possibly Northern France. This extra period lasts from April 23-27.
The overlap means that the present course week with lectures in Wageningen is given both for our own IP and students of the other (also involving the universities of Bergen, Aberdeen, Cork, Gent and us).

Registration occurs through internet. Each student can register by filling in the participation form in our website: http://137.224.179.194/fishlarvae/
Students, admitted to the course will receive a USER ID and a Password from us, upon which they can enter the closed course site with programme and assignments and course ware.
