THIRD WORLD FISHERIES CONGRESS
31 October - 3 November 2000, Beijing, China
The Congress will be organized and hosted by the China Society of Fisheries, sponsored by Asian Fisheries Society, American Fisheries Society, World Aquaculture Society and Australian Society for Fish Biology. The theme set by the International Steering Committee is "Feeding the world with fish in the next millenium: the balance between production and environment". The Congress is expected to attract more than 1000 delegates from all over the world, including fishery scientists, business managers, government policy makers, social scientists, aquaculture specialists, economists, fish biologists and industry suppliers.
