COMMENTS 1 :

In Germany malachite green is not allowed to be used on aquaculture fish, produced for human consumption. Even not on fingerlings.

COMMENTS 2 :

I doubt you will be able to find a withdrawal time for malachite green
since a withdrawal time is based on mammalian safety and residue chemistry studies that demonstrate that fish flesh is safe to eat after a certain period of time after being exposed to a drug.  Since there are no mammalian studies that indicate that malachite green is safe (e.g., not a carcinogen or teratogen), no withdrawal time can be established; in fact, studies have been performed that demonstrate that malachite green is a teratogen and a possible carcinogen.  This is why there are no efforts to gain approvals of malachite green in the United States.
If you are trying to control fungus or external parasites, try formalin or
hydrogen peroxide; formalin is approved for controlling (1) fungal
infections on all fish eggs and all fish and (2) external parasites on all fish. Efforts are underway to gain approvals for hydrogen peroxide for the same uses.  The Center for Veterinary Medicine has no human food safety concerns for hydrogen peroxide and will not require a withdrawal time or a tolerance.

COMMENTS 3:

Malachite green is illegal to use on any food fish in the US.  I would be
interested to know the laws from other countries.  It is also a very
dangerous chemical (carcinogen and mutagen) if not used properly, so be cautious.
