PRESENT SITUATION ON ARTEMIA CYST MARKET
The present situation with Artemia cysts is that so many different cysts
now are in the market place that it is difficult to obtain the
uniformity in hatching that one could depend on when the cysts came from
just the Great Salt Lake. Each cyst resource has different
characteristics and it is for sure the hatching quality will be less than
what the market has been accustomed to over the past years. Users of
cysts need to contact the producer and ask for specifics regarding the
source the cysts came from. As a rule of safety it is always best in
today's market to keep them all in a freezer until needed. Pull out
several days, up to a week in advance, before attempting to incubate them.
