COMMENTS 1 :

Best cost-effective food for intensive culture of Artemia depends a little on scale of your culture. For small scale, live algae or dried algae preparates are handy but unfeasible (too expensive) for larger cultures. Then you better switch to finely grinded powders of rice bran, soy pellets or alikes or baker's yeast. The latter should be supplemented with vitamin of dry algae products since it cannot sustain Artemia cultures until the adult stages.

COMMENTS 2:

My experience is in semi-extensive level, I would say, in flow-through systems. I have found that food can be kept at an acceptable density with organic fertilization. It could be chicken manure, duck manure, goat manure, especially in dry way. My best result is with sea bird manure (called "guano" in Peru).
