Abstract:
The hatching performance of three types of aeration
system was compared. For commercial applications, the cradle aeration system
was superior to the single air stone system (90.7 vs 96.5% hatchability).
The use of this system resulted in marginal Instar 1 production, lower
E-l-arrest, high cyst water hydration activity, minimal nauplii injury, and
convenience in harvest.
