Abstract:
Since
most of the aquaculture information is in English, the objective of this
book is to give basic and present knowledge for the growing Spanish-speaking
aquaculture community.
The
book consists of eleven chapters. A brief introduction is described in
chapter one, while biological considerations of the digestive system of
fish, shellfish and crustaceans are included in chapter two. The next two
chapters refer to broodstock and larval nutrition. Fish growth evaluation is
reviewed in chapter five. Energy sources, nutritional requirements,
vitamins, minerals, additives and antinutritional elements are also
described. Finally, nutritional diseases, feeders and food formulation are
included. The book contains black and white photographs in almost all
chapters, and it can be considered as useful basic information for
universitary level. Contact information: tel/fax: + 335 55130, e-mail: turbotuag@hotmail.com
