QUESTION:

Can anyone there tell me if they know of a commercial source of Mono Lake brine shrimp? I have been told by residents of the Mono Lake area that commercial harvesting of the lake’s unique green brine shrimp has resumed but I can’t find anyone who is selling them.

COMMENTS 2:

Are these (Mono Lake) actually a green variety or just that they have consumed high numbers of green algae?

COMMENTS 3 :

The Mono Lake Artemia are what they eat. It is a relatively low salinity Artemia habitat and has a “mixed green salad” as primary productivity.
