QUESTION:

Could anyone recommend a commercial hand held screen or net that could get adult Artemia separated from juveniles?

COMMENTS 1:

What kind of biomass volumes are you attempting to separate?  If it is small quantities I would use the Tyler sieves with a 30 mesh on top and a 200-mesh on the bottom.....theoretically the nauplii should rinse through the 30 mesh with a GENTLE spray and then be trapped on the bottom screen....

COMMENTS 2:

Excellent idea. I have a full spectrum of Tylers, for a biomass
gasifier project in the machine shop. I had never thought of them, as the salt water project is at the state's hatchery. Everything there is geared towards fishes, etc.

COMMENTS 3:

I would suggest going to an Aquarium shop/outlet & checking the various fish nets. There are many mesh sizes.
Remember to keep the Artemia suspended in the water, whilst separation occurs, especially if you want to keep them alive.
