shortage and new larval feeds

Abstract:
Price-raises of Artemia-cysts are
due to global shortage of supply. Rationalized use in shrimp-hatcheries
bring down the demand as Artemia-cyst prices increase. Dependency on Artemia-cysts
for larviculture is still a fact though. No alternative feed can fully
replace Artemia. Features of existing feeds are exposed and future areas of
development indicated.
