The Canadian Aquaculture Industry Alliance (CAIA) and AquaNet have launched
a new, comprehensive national web-based CAIA-AquaNet Aquaculture Career and
Training Directory for people interested in pursuing or advancing a career
in aquaculture or improving their employees' skills and capabilities.
The Aquaculture Career and Training Directory is a comprehensive,
electronically searchable directory of education-based career and training
opportunities in aquaculture technology, research and development, business
and business management, and environmental and social sciences currently
offered within post-secondary institutions in Canada.
The Aquaculture Career and Training Directory addresses the industry's need
for increased awareness of aquaculture training and skills upgrading
opportunities currently available within Canada. Several post-secondary
institutions across Canada offer programs
and courses designed or adapted to encompass the diversifying industrial
avenues resulting from the expansion of the aquaculture sector.
The Aquaculture Career and Training Directory is intended to be used by
those interested in pursuing or advancing a career in aquaculture operations
and development, and by employers seeking program information pertaining to
improving their own and their employee's skills and capabilities. Further,
having an up-to-date directory highlighting the growth of the Canadian
aquaculture industry will also help to attract new entrants to this sector.

initiative are encouraged to contact CAIA.
