Question:
I work on a project about the culture of P.
semisulcatus in the Pla. Sinai in Egypt in the side Mediterranean Sea at
East Port Said lake. I would like to get to know somebody who has also
worked with this species and ask about his experience.

COMMENTS 1:
We have some experience on P. semisulcatus in Italy.
It was farmed in Italy eight years ago and it gave good results in growth
rate and colour characteristics. But it is very weak, the animals die when
they are stressed.

Is it the big shrimp farm on liner pond localized
just near Port Said, including a shrimp hatchery with larvae department
under green houses? If yes, it is a lot of experience on this farm. What
kind of information is Ana Maria looking for? Anyway, in Egypt, there are
several farms working from year (?) with semisulcatus near the Suez Canal,
near Hurgada and near Sharm El Sheik. If she needs I could give her several
contacts in this country.
