PROFET WORKSHOP:
coldwater marine finfish aquaculture

The last of the 5 trans-national PROFET workshops on
the research needs of the European fish farming sector will be held in
Dublin (Ireland) on the 16th and 17th April 2004. This PROFET Workshop will
be devoted to Coldwater marine finfish aquaculture. 5 key topics will be
presented and discussed; these are: the state of aquaculture in Europe, the
availability of medicines for finfish aquaculture, the future for the
production of marine finfish, the market potential of marine finfish species
and, last but not least, identification of the Research and Development
priorities.
This will be the last opportunity to give your opinion on these topics that
affect European aquaculture, to help to identify the research needs and to
understand better what the existing European networks can provide .
