XI International Symposium on Rotifers

Thematic units of the symposium:

  1. Morphology, taxonomy, zoogeography & field ecology
  2. Feeding, trophic interactions, behaviour, autecology & population ecology
  3. Molecular biology, evolution, genetics and biochemistry
  4. Aquaculture & mass production
  5. Ecotoxicology & indicator organisms

Four workshops of two-hour duration each are planned: a) Population parameters: unification of concepts, b) Applications of molecular tools for rotifer genetics and systematics, c) High density production of rotifers: tools and techniques and d) Standardisation of planktonic and littoral sampling techniques. Literature exchange and sale of personal collections will also be discussed.
