Spore germination in use of probiotics

Question:

I wonder if any of the probiotics experts could tell whether adding
spores to the feed will give enough time for spore germination,
considering feeding will start from time 0 to 3 hours after
feed time. How many spores per gram of feed are recommended?
Does anybody know dying rate of spores? Are these strains isolated
from aquaculture or similar environments?

Many of our customers simply germinate the spores on the day of use,
and then soak them into the pellets (often in a concrete mixer) before feeding-out; you can add as much as you like, up to the point that the pellets stick together when squeezed.

Bacillus are very hardy and are typically isolated from aquatic
environments or soil; their origin isn't as important as their
effectiveness - the main point is to choose strains that have
been proven to be effective in shrimp ponds and hatcheries.

We use Kevin's probiotics in our hatchery. Our hatchery is for our own
farm: we do not sell the fry. I am very keen to get the best possible quality fry. I do not use antibiotics or any other type of chemical except chlorine and fertilisers for our chaeto.  My finding is quite clear: if we use the probiotics, PLUS molasses, we do not get luminescence. My thoughts are that this means that the  switch (or quorum sensing ability) of the vibrios may be disrupted by the additives. We have tried various combos with molasses only, with bugs only etc: but only the bugs PLUS molasses give the results I want.  I will keep using the product because it gives me results.

In your hatchery, what kind of shrimp do you produce?  Vannamei, monodon, or other?
Secondly, can you enlighten us about your stocking densities, survival rates, as well as probiotic dosages and molasses dosages?  Results prior to and post-use of probiotic/molasses additions would be excellent.
This information would be extremely useful for many of us hatchery producers.
