This scale of hatchery is commercially run by big corporations, national agencies or cooperative projects. While the capital and operational investment far exceed that of the medium-scale hatchery, production capability of such hatchery usually exceeds 20 million postlarvae per annum. Such hatchery is centrally and systematically managed and is supported by a pool of not less than 6 technical personnel and 6-10 labourers (Kungvankij et al., 1986).
