from Brussels' airport to Ghent
to top of page

Once arrived in Brussels airport, the railway station is located under the airport itself at the -2 Floor. There are direct trains to Ghent ('Gent Sint-Pieters') every hour. The destination indicated is 'De Panne'. 'Gent Sint-Pieters-Station' is the fourth stop of the train after 'Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles-Nord', 'Brussel Centraal/Bruxelles-Central' and 'Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi'. There is also a direct stop train from the airport to Ghent. The travel takes longer because the train stops very often. 'Gent Sint-Pieters' is the end station of that train.
There is also a non-direct train, whereby you have to change trains once. First take the train from the airport station to the centre of Brussels and get of in 'Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi'. You can also change trains in the other Brussels centre stations : 'Brussel-Noord/Bruxelles-Nord' or 'Brussel-Centraal/Bruxelles-Central', but the easiest is to change in 'Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi'. Then take the train to Ghent Sint-Pieters, destination 'Oostende'. Note that Ghent will always be mentioned as intermediate destination. The trip 'Brussel-Zuid/Bruxelles-Midi' - Ghent takes about 30 minutes.
